ATTENTION ALL OWNERS/RESIDENTS:
PREVENTIVE ROACH TREATMENT NOTICE
To help rid and prevent the spread of roaches, the association will be sending the exterminator to all buildings and into all units AT LEAST twice a year. UNLESS YOU CALL THE OFFICE ON 301-840-0670 TO BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST, your unit will be preventatively treated for roaches along with every other unit in the building on the above scheduled date. IF YOU ARE HAVING A MOUSE OR BEDBUG ISSUE, YOU MUST CONTACT THE ONSITE OFFICE PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED TREATMENT DATE TO ENSURE THE EXTERMINATOR WILL HAVE THE PROPER MATERIALS WITH HIM TO EFFECTIVELY TREAT YOUR UNIT. IF YOU DO NOT CALL, WE WILL NOT KNOW YOU ARE HAVING A MOUSE OR BEDBUG ISSUE AND YOUR UNIT WILL NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY TREATED FOR MICE OR BEDBUGS. YOU MUST NOTIFY US OF THE PROBLEM IN ADVANCE. BEDBUG TREATMENTS REQUIRE PREPARATION AND CLEANING BEFORE THE FIRST TREATMENT!
The exterminator must have access to all bathrooms, the kitchen, and the HVAC closet to properly treat your unit. FAILURE TO PROVIDE ACCESS IS A VIOLATION OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS: Article V, Section 9 of the Bylaws, grants the right of access to the units to the Board of Directors or the managing agent, or any person authorized by the Board of Directors or managing agent, for the purpose of making inspections necessary for health and safety or maintenance, correcting any condition originating in the unit and threatening another unit or the general common elements, performing installations, pest control, alterations or repairs to the mechanical or electrical services or the general common elements in the unit, or elsewhere in the property to correct any condition which violates the provisions of any mortgage covering another unit….
The key to your unit must be on file with the Mgmt. office as per the Fireside regulations # 21 and # 23 to access your unit. If we do not have the key on file, we may not be able to treat your unit and you may end up with a severe roach, mice, or bedbug problem. IF YOU HAVE PETS (DOG OR CAT) PLEASE ARRANGE TO HAVE THEM OUT OF YOUR UNIT OR SECURE THEM IN A BEDROOM WITHOUT A BATHROOM ON THE DAY OF YOUR TREATMENT.
OWNERS WHO FAIL TO REPORT ROACH, MICE OR BEDBUG INFESTATIONS TO THE ONSITE OFFICE MAY BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF TREATMENT TO OTHER UNITS CAUSED BY THE INFESTATION OVERFLOW FROM YOUR UNIT DUE TO YOUR LACK OF COMPLIANCE.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP AND COOPERATION AS WE WORK TO MAKE FIRESIDE A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR EVERY RESIDENT.
